2010 foi um ano histórico para a Oris Big Crown Air Racing Team, dado que competiu pela primeira vez no lendário Reno Air Races, no Nevada, Estados Unidos. O piloto da equipa, Don Vito Wyprächtiger, foi o primeiro suíço a qualificar-se desde sempre para este prestigioso evento e ficou em 2º lugar na Formula Gold Race à sua primeira tentativa. Para comemorar o feito, a Oris criou um Big Crown especial, o BC3, limitado a mil unidades.Da marca:
The design of the Oris BC3 Air Racing Limited Edition is inspired by the team’s race plane the “Scarlet Screamer”. The case is made of light titanium and weighs 40 percent less than steel. It has an additional 24 hour hand to show the time in a second time zone, another important feature for pilots. The red airplane shaped pointer for the second time zone hand also relates to the colour and design of the “Scarlet Screamer”. The watch features a practical screw down crown and water resistance to 10bar/100m, making it a real watch for real pilots.
