Qatar Holding is due to confirm April 5th its official entry to the capital of world luxury giant LVMH, the transaction reported to have taken place in 2011. Qatar's new venture does not come as a surprise given the numerous acquisitions internationally, in particular in France. Through its different business units, Qatar now controls: leatherwear house Le Tanneur, Peninsula Hotel in Paris (due 2013), Hotel Royal Monceau Paris, Hotel Carlton InterContinental Hotel Cannes, Paris Saint Germain football club, Lagardère Media (10%) Veolia Environnement (5%) and 5,6% of construction giant BTP Vinci.
