Oris comemora 40 anos do Chronoris

A Oris lançou em 1970 o modelo Chronoris, o primeiro cronógrafo desportivo da marca. Para comemorar os 40 anos deste relógio histórico, a marca lança agora o RAID Chronograph Limited Edition (500 exemplares), um cronógrafo automático.

O Chronoris associa-se ainda ao raid Suíça-Paris, iniciado em 1991. Este ano, a Oris será o timekeeper da prova, que vai na sua 20ª edição.

2010 is a major milestone for Oris in the world of motor sport. In 1970 we launched the original Chronoris – the first ever Oris sports chronograph. 2010 marks 40 years of Oris motor sport – and we’re celebrating in style!

When it was first launched in 1970 the original Chronoris was ahead of its time and its sporty style made it a great success. It even inspired a retro redesign in 2005.

For 2010 the Oris designers have taken inspiration from a classic source for the latest Oris motor sports watch. The launch of the Oris RAID Chronograph Limited Edition celebrates not only 40 years of Oris motor sport, but also the 20th RAID Suisse-Paris classic rally. Oris is also the official timekeeper of this year’s rally.

The competitors in the RAID rally put themselves and their cars through a series of challenges that test their skills as navigators, drivers and mechanics. The Oris RAID Chronograph is reliable, resilient and equal to the challenges of one of Europe’s biggest classic rallies.
