Agenda: SalonQP, em Londres

Organizado pelo Director da revista da especialidade QP, James Gurney, SalonQP, de 10 de Novembro a 10 de Dezembro, na Saatchi Gallery, Londres.

Da organização:

A showcase for fine watches, SalonQP is the only event of its kind in the UK.

This November, SalonQP offers you a unique chance to discover the finest watches and meet the most interesting brands in the world.

With watches now seen as essential knowledge, SalonQP is your chance to discover the latest designs and developments, to meet with watchmakers and craftsmen and enjoy the exclusive atmosphere of one of the most interesting events on the calendar.

SalonQP is designed to give you the time and space to discover and appreciate all that fine watchmaking has to offer. A stage for an unmatched cross-section of watch houses, SalonQP will be held at the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea, one of London's most attractive and best-located venues —just off the King's Road and Sloane Square.

Some of the greatest names in contemporary watchmaking have exhibited at SalonQP – from venerable maisons such as Cartier, Vacheron Constantin and Jaeger-LeCoultre to more innovative marques such as Bremont, MB&F and De Bethune, via the creative fireworks of Harry Winston. Brands confirmed for 2011 so far include Cartier, Bulgari, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Roger Smith, Bell & Ross and many more.

SalonQP is all about discovery and the extra space available at the Saatchi Gallery means this year's event will also include an exciting array of elements designed to bring the world of fine watchmaking to life. Highlights include:

Bulgari's Kaleidoscope, which offers a unique view of the intricate internal mechanics of a complicated watch movement.

The Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie exhibition on the history of watchmaking, which draws rare and important pieces from both Swiss and English collections.

An exhibition of the winning and finalist entries of the Company of Clockmakers' Picturing Time undergraduate design competition.

Auction and watch service and repair experts will be on hand to share their advice and knowledge.

The chance to take part in a watchmaking masterclass hosted by Jaeger-LeCoultre.

A comprehensive programme of presentations and debates involving watchmakers, auction experts, QP contributors and guests in the auditorium.

Many of the brands will have watchmakers on hand, to demonstrate both their craft and watches.

SalonQP provides the perfect setting for the world’s most prestigious horological houses to present their creations to collectors and enthusiasts, all in an environment where visitors have the time and space to appreciate.
