This edition will be placed under the sign of unexpected encounters between shapes and ideas, nurtured by the Maison and expressed through its watchmaking creations.
Visitors will be able to first discover, Pasha, the Maison’s cult watch since its inception in 1985, featured in a new interpretation. With its distinctive codes and outstanding design, Pasha pushes the boundaries of traditional watchmaking frameworks. Featuring an extrovert and generous character, Pasha showcases a strong graphic signature, with its square in a circle and its oversized Arabic numerals. A singularity that is reinforced by the “clous” de Paris, giving even more edge to its strap, and the screw-down crown cap attached to the case by a small chain, ensuring maximum visibility. A design highlight of Cartier, Pasha will be this year’s watchmaking statement for the Maison, starting with a launch in China this summer, followed by a worldwide activation early September.
Cartier Watchmaking Encounters will also unveil a new feminine watch, Maillon, a true jewel with an unprecedented design carrying an ultra-feminine elegance, as well as Santos XL, the augmented version of the model that was presented last year at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in Geneva.
Always inspired by its own heritage, the Maison has exclusively created a set of engraved and limited SantosDumont, a Tank Asymétrique as part of the Cartier Privé collection, which will be subject to a dedicated section on the website. The platform will also reveal an exclusive collection of precious watches, residing in the exceptional dialogue between jewelry and watchmaking.
“In the current context, we believe it is important to preserve our interactions with all our clients around the world through various touchpoints, and thus be able to offer them an experience entirely dedicated to our Maison’s watchmaking creations. The launch of Cartier Watchmaking Encounters is fully integrated in this approach. By discovering this new platform, our clients will be invited to explore our creations, and our services, and on a broader level, the watchmaking spirit of Cartier.”, says Arnaud Carrez, Marketing and Communication Director at Cartier International.
The international platform will be online starting April 25th, and will be available in French, English and Chinese, and available at www.cartierwatchmakingencounters.com as well as via www.cartier.com.
