O Swatch Group acaba de anunciar o cancelamento do evento Time to Move, que se iria realizar no início de Março, em Zurique, devido ao surto de coronavirus.
Se os eventos Watches & Wonders (Genebra, final de Abril) e Baselworld (Basileia, início de Maio), seguirem a mesma filosofia, pode ser o fim das grandes feiras internacionais de relojoria tal como as conhecemos desde há cerca de um século.
Aquando do problema com o SARS, em Hong Kong, em 2002, as autoridades suíças proibiram a entrada no país de visitantes oriundos daquele território e da China Continental que queriam nesse ano participar na Baselworld.
O comunicado do Swatch Group:
Considering the uncertainty related to the 2019-nCoV Coronavirus outbreak, and in order to guarantee the welfare of our guests, partners, and colleagues, Swatch Group has decided not to hold the Time to Move event, which should have taken place in Zurich from February 28 to March 2, 2020.
The Swatch Group Prestige brands will introduce their new products to the markets at a later stage during regional events, in order to prevent their partners to travel internationally in an insecure climate.
