Geneva, October 11, 2011. The 2012 edition of the annual international Show EPHJ (Watchmaking and Jewellery Professional Environment) - EPMT (Microtechnology Professional Environment) - SMT (Swiss Medical Technologies) will be held at Palexpo Geneva from 5 to 8 June 2012.
Everything already points to success for this edition. The impact of the transfer of the Show in Geneva, its opening to new markets and visitors had an immediate effect on the exhibitors.
One figure illustrates this craze: 500 exhibitors have already confirmed their presence in 2012, that is 8 months prior to the Show! This never happened before within such a period. This represents 87% of the total number of the exhibitors in 2011. In addition, many new exhibitors are interested in our Show. We can therefore reasonably expect to meet or exceed the 600-exhibitors mark in 2012.
The prestigious companies already registered, often leaders in their fields, are far too numerous to mention but they are the flagship of the Swiss and international industry in the fields of microtechnology. As for the sector of Swiss Medical Technologies (SMT), which started in 2011, a doubling is expected by 2012.
The largest professional trade show in Switzerland will retain its leadership. The market had to decide. It is now done and the reality of figures cannot be questioned.
EPHJ-EPMT exists now for 10 years and just wants to continue to offer its exhibitors and visitors the best possible platform to grow their business and highlight their know-how. On this ground, and given the numerous requests we receive from new Swiss and international visitors, we now have proof of the merits of our installation in Geneva.
The impact of our Show will also be strengthened by the warm welcome given by the Geneva cantonal authorities in the words of Pierre-François Unger, Minister of State for the Department of Regional Affairs, Economy and Health (DARES), Republic and Canton of Geneva: "By moving to Geneva, EPHJ-EPMT-SMT will take a new dimension, allowing it to continue its growth, said Pierre-François Unger. We are delighted to welcome at Palexpo the largest professional trade fair in Switzerland. We will give it our full support to strengthen its influence in Switzerland and abroad! "
Partnerships have also been concluded with various economic partners such as the Geneva Economic Development Office, the Office for the Promotion of Industries and Technologies (OPI) or the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (CCIG) that will put at our disposal their national and international networks. On the other hand, the Show has always had the honor to work with major institutional partners such as EPFL, A3P, BioAlps, Medical Cluster, Micronarc, SwissLaser.net, etc.
EPHJ-EPMT-SMT will therefore take on a new dimension in 2012 without denying its identity and the keys to its historical success. In this context, other news and events will soon be released in accordance with a principle of communication that sticks to the facts and figures.
