Vivia miseravelmente, costeando a fome, pão magro e batina surrada; tinha instantes e horas de tristeza e de abatimento: confessou-os á prima... Tambem o senhor? perguntou ella. E as suas mãos apertaram-se com energia: entendiam-se. Não tendo achado um astro na loja de um relojoeiro, a culpa era do relojoeiro; tal era a logica de ambos.

Grupo Richemont vende relógios Baume & Mecier ao Damiani Group
O Grupo Richemont, o maior do mundo em termos de portfólio relojoeiro e joalheiro topo de gama, acaba de anunciar a venda da Baume & Mercier ao Grupo Damiani.
No Salão de Alta Relojoaria de Genebra, Watches and Wonders, que decorre de 14 a 20 de Abril, a Baume & Mercier mantém a sua presença, ainda integrada no universo Richemont. A marca tem sofrido de indefinição de posicionamento no portfólio do grupo, acumulando prejuízos, e desde há anos que se falava da sua alienação.

Lugano, Switzerland – 22 January, 2026 – Richemont and the Damiani Group, a
prestigious, family-run Italian global luxury group, today announce that they
have signed an agreement for the Damiani Group to acquire full ownership of
specialist watchmaker Baume & Mercier from Richemont in a private
transaction.
With this acquisition, the Damiani Group will expand its hard luxury goods portfolio, which already comprises the Damiani, Salvini, Bliss and Calderoni jewellery brands, as well as Venini, Italy’s prestigious artistic glassmaker based in Murano, alongside its luxury multi-brand watch and jewellery distributor Rocca, with a renowned specialist watchmaker whose legacy spans 200 years. Richemont and the Damiani Group believe that Baume & Mercier’s long-term potential will be best realised as part of the Damiani Group, given the Maison’s strong footprint in Italy, its predominantly multi-brand wholesale distribution model and its accessible positioning in the luxury watch segment.
As part of its strategy to ensure Baume & Mercier’s long-term success, the Damiani Group intends to enhance the Maison’s visibility and reach by leveraging its own extensive multi-brand distribution network and opening select mono-brand boutiques in strategic locations over time.
To ensure a smooth transition whilst the Damiani Group prepares for Baume & Mercier’s integration within its own operations, Richemont will provide operational services for the Maison for an interim period of at least 12 months after closing.
Closing is expected in the summer of 2026 and remains subject to certain condition precedents.
The financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed.

Da linha Swatch Art Journey, a Swatch apresentou hoje em Lisboa, no espaço 8Marvila a Coleção Swatch × Guggenheim – quatro relógios inspirados em obras de Edgar Degas, Paul Klee, Claude Monet e Jackson Pollock. Fruto da parceria da marca suíça com o Guggenheim Nova Iorque e a Coleção Peggy Guggenheim, em Veneza. Caixas de 34 ou 41 mm, calibres de quartzo.

Era um relojoeiro do Porto, homem de annos largos, cara aberta e antiga. Quando se dirigia ao snr. conde da Graciosa, dava-lhe excellencia; ao snr. visconde de Sanches de Baena, dava-lhe senhoria; e a mim, para ser coherente, não me dava nada.
