O comunicado:

From April 25th to 29th 2020, the leading names in Fine Watchmaking will be in Geneva for the 30th edition of SIHH which becomes Watches & Wonders Geneva. This new format welcomes 31 watch brands including MB&F and H. Moser & Cie. They join the Historic Maisons after four years as part of the Carré des Horlogers, which continues to spotlight the most talented independent watchmakers and in 2020 sees the arrival of five new brands.

MORE THAN A FAIR: A FORUM OF EXPRESSION FOR WATCHMAKING

For 30 years, the leading Fine Watchmaking Maisons have come to the Salon to present their newest products to their best customers and the international media. In 2020 they have chosen Watches & Wonders Geneva to preview their creations and, in doing so, set the trends that will define the year and the decade to come in watchmaking.

"Watches & Wonders Geneva is more than a fair. It offers brands a genuine forum of expression for their vision, their strategy, their collaborations, their ethical and social responsibility; in a word, everything that makes up the day-to-day life, values and DNA of their Maison," notes Fabienne Lupo, Chairwoman and Managing Director of the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie.

The new format of Watches & Wonders Geneva enables watchmaking's foremost representatives to address not only their core audience of retailers, journalists, selected customers and partners, but also a wider audience of people who appreciate beautiful objects and recognise the exceptional skills and expertise that compose every Fine Watch.

This year 17 Historic Maisons gather within this unique setting to present their creations and together celebrate watchmaking excellence. They are A. Lange & Söhne, Baume & Mercier, Bovet, Cartier, Girard-Perregaux, Hermès, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, MB&F, H. Moser & Cie., Montblanc, Panerai, Parmigiani, Piaget, Roger Dubuis, Ulysse Nardin and Vacheron Constantin.

MB&F AND H. MOSER & CIE. JOIN THE HISTORIC MAISONS

For 30 years, the Salon has accompanied, encouraged and exhibited new talent. This year, two of the very first exhibitors in the Carré des Horlogers - MB&F and H. Moser & Cie. - are joining the Historic Maisons.

"For a creative laboratory such as MB&F, SIHH and now Watches & Wonders gives us a level of visibility beyond our existing clientele of highly knowledgeable collectors. It is also an opportunity to be part of an important joint effort to promote this wonderful profession." says Maximilan Büsser, owner and creative director of MB&F.

For Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie., "Exhibiting at Watches & Wonders alongside Historic Maisons represents an important accomplishment that is part of our global development strategy. The Carré des Horlogers was a wonderful opportunity where we were able to grow within an extremely positive dynamic."

THE CARRÉ DES HORLOGERS WELCOMES FIVE NEW BRANDS

Reserved since 2016 for independent artisan-creators, in 2020 the Carré des Horlogers welcomes 14 brands. A catalyst for creativity, the Carré des Horlogers this year sees the arrival of five new exhibitors. Fabergé, renowned for its imperial eggs and relaunched in 2007, dazzles with its stunning watch and jewellery creations; Arnold & Son, a Swiss Fine Watch brand whose origins go back to the renowned eighteenth-century English watchmaker, John Arnold ; Rebellion, a young brand, has made its name with standout mechanisms and designs; Rudis Sylva with its original complication saw daylight in 2006; Purnell, also established in 2006, gives pride of place to the tourbillon in all its forms. More than ever, Watches & Wonders Geneva 2020 is set to be the must-attend event for Fine Watchmaking at Palexpo and, for the very first time, beyond thanks to In the City events. Each of the exhibiting Maisons will be waiting to meet the public and take them behind the scenes with fascinating insight into their extraordinary expertise.

Stay tuned for more details of this first ever celebration of watchmaking in Geneva!
