LONDON - The Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) announced today that Vacheron Constantin, the world’s oldest watchmaker with uninterrupted activity and part of Richemont International SA, has achieved
certification by meeting the highest ethical, social and environmental standards established by the RJC’s Member Certification system.

“RJC is delighted to congratulate Vacheron Constantin on its certification. The successful verification assessment was conducted by Michel Moser from SGS, one of the independent third-party auditing firms accredited to the RJC’s Member Certification System,” says Michael Rae, RJC’s Chief Executive Officer.

“Ever since September 17 th 1755, when Jean-Marc Vacheron hired his first apprentice, at Vacheron Constantin we have been driven by our strong values. Our objective is to transmit these values as well as our skills to future generations. Today the RJC certification confirms that our convictions are in line with those of the RJC and acknowledges one of our main values: the aspiration to be a good corporate citizen - socially aware, responsible and open to the world”, says Juan-Carlos Torres, CEO of Vacheron Constantin.
