A manufactura relojoeira suíça Zenith, que está a comemorar 150 anos, acaba de ser certificada pelo Responsible Jewellery Council em termos éticos, sociais e ambientais. O comunicado:
LONDON - RJC announced today that Zenith, the Swiss Watch Manufacturer, has achieved ReCertification by meeting the highest ethical, social and environmental standards established by the RJC. “RJC congratulates Zenith on achieving Re-Certification. Zenith was first certified in 2011. After a Member has become RJC Certified for the first time, independent verification is required at the end of each certification period to ensure continued conformance and thereby maintain Certified Member status,” says Ashish Deo, RJC’s Chief Executive Officer.
The successful verification assessment was conducted by Christophe Schmeitzky from Ernst & Young et Associes (France), one of the independent third-party auditing firms accredited by the RJC. "Zenith has been a member of the RJC since 2005 and by re-achieving the RJC Certification, we prove that ethics and responsible sourcing are fundamental company's practices. Respect and transparency are deeply rooted in our values and it is therefore obvious for Zenith to consider raw materials procurement as a priority," says Aldo Magada, President and CEO of Zenith.
