Girard-Perregaux faz parceria com a Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences para apoio a futuro Museu do Cinema
A Girard-Perregaux será Cronometrista Exclusivo e Apoiante Fundador do novo Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, cuja abertura está prevista para 2016, em Los Angeles, anunciou hoje a manufactura de alta relojoaria suíça.
O museu ficará instalado no histórico edifício da Wilshire May Company e será o primeiro museu sem fins lucrativos dedicado exclusivamente à história e ao desenvolvimento actual da indústria cinematográfica.
Situado no centro de Los Angeles, o edifício será adaptado pelos arquitectos Renzo Piano e Zoltan Pali. No seu interior, ficarão extensas colecções e arquivos da Academia, que incluem mais de 140 mil filmes, 10 milhões de fotografias, 42 mil posters originais de filmes, 10 mil desenhos de produção, fatos, equipamento de filmagem e adereços vários, bem como objectos pessoais de personalidades ligadas ao cinema.
Para celebrar e promover esta parceria, a Girard-Perregaux passará a usar imagens icónicas da colecção fotográfica da Academia nas suas campanhas publicitárias e levará a cabo iniciativas especiais.
